Notice how out of all his apprentices, he is completely serious with Ava. All the others, he maintains a sense of humour and mystery. But with Ava, he keeps a consistent tone throughtout their meeting.

Organization XIII are easily some of my favorite antagonists in the Kingdom Hearts series. Every time they show them wearing their hoods and their theme starts playing, I get so excited I start to honestly wish I could be one of them if I were in the game lol

My personal theory on the true identity of the master of masters is long and contains major story spoilers for ff7 rebirth. I believe that he is Sephiroth. During Rebirth, there is this hooded character that speaks with Rufus in several scenes named "Glenn Lodbrok". Glenn has previously appeared as one of the first SOLDIERS, and an old comrade of a young Sephiroth in FF7 Ever Crisis. In Rebirth, Glenn behaves identically to the master of masters from kingdom hearts. During the ending of Rebirth, we see that he isn't Glenn, but Sephiroth using one of the hooded figures as a vessel to pretend to be Glenn. His ultimate plan in rebirth is the reunion of worlds. This includes all the timelines introduced in rebirth, and according to this theory, all the worlds in Kingdom Hearts too. He uses Glenn to orchestrate a second war between Shinra, and Wutai as well as stir up resentment against the company from the citizens of midgar. Just like how the master of masters intentionally spreads distrust between the other masters, and orchestrates the Keyblade War. Luxu revealing himself as Xigbar from organization XIII also makes me believe that the MoM is also behind the organization. The real kicker for me is that he says the no name keyblade has his eye on it. That eye is literally the exact same eye as Sephiroth. Green iris with a slit pupil. Sephiroth has appeared in Kingdom Hearts before, but has been described as Cloud's darkness. My theory is that Sephiroth manifests himself using his connection with cloud to manifest himself in the KH world using the darkness of that worlds Cloud. It's similar to how he uses Jenova to transform into his likeness so he can be somewhere while his physical body is encased in materia in the northern crater.
